Weekly Vocabulary 2/19/18

GIF: Graphics interchanged format- a bitmap image that easily moved for its size as it is only pictures instead of a video and can used on the internet, mainly used for animations

 Zoopraxiscope: an early device for presenting motion pictures. Invented by Eadweard Muybridge, images are placed on a spinning wheel and spun in rapid succession

 Kinetoscope: a movie projection device that places a role of film on a conveying system with a high shutter speed. The light placed in front of the peep hole allows the individual to see the image as if it was a fluid scene

 Chronophotograph: a technique used to capture movement in several images. With several cameras capturing, it was originally used for scientific study of movement
