1. Photodetector: Sensors used to detect light in a given area
2. Infrared: a form of electromagnetic radiation that has a longer wavelength than visible light. A form of infrared light is thermal radiation.
3. Light-emitting diode: A semiconductor light source that at specific voltages will emit photons.
4.Thermal imaging camera: a camera that renders thermal radiation in the form of visible light.

Panoramic Photography: a technique of photography that uses an extended field of view to capture a longer image. Either a specialized camera or digital stitching is used
Colour Banding: an error of inaccurate colour presentation that occurs in computer graphics
Dither: is a noise that is added intentionally to randomize quantization error, or an error from the digital output. This prevents large-scale patterns such as colour banding in images to occur
